Llano County authorities are on their second manhunt in a week after a convicted felon allegedly drove a car into a building, stole another vehicle and assaulted two elderly Llano residents on Thursday, Sept. 25.

The Llano County Sheriff’s Office and City of Llano Police are searching for Edward Levi Adamson, 47, after authorities said he drove a white Chevrolet pickup through a garage at a home at the intersection of West Ellis Street and Ames Avenue near Llano Park in efforts to evade a traffic stop at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night.

“A Llano City Officer was trying to make a traffic stop, and the pickup ran. The officer chased it to Badu Park where he crashed into a house. There was a female subject in the car. She was detained,” said Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn.

Brittany Trevino, reportedly a girlfriend of Adamson, was arrested on the scene for public intoxication.

The next morning, on Friday, Sept. 26 at 8:35 a.m., the suspect broke into a house, the sheriff said. The home is reported to be in the 700 block of Avon behind Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que.

“He assaulted an elderly female and tied up her husband,” Blackburn said. “There was no known connection between the victims and the suspect.”

Adamson allegedly stole the couple’s 2014 Jeep Compass bearing Texas license plate number CCZ2353 and is now at-large, authorities said.

The female victim was transported by Life Flight to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin and is in fair condition.

“She had a pretty bad laceration on her head and hand injuries. Her husband was treated and released with minor injuries,” Blackburn said.

The sheriff said Adamson is wanted on charges of burglary in the Kimble County area.

“We were aware of these. We had a flyer on him,” Blackburn said.

Authorities said a record check informed that Adamson is wanted for a parole violation and also is a suspect in several burglaries that spread over several counties including Kimble, Kerr, Gillespie, and Burnet County. The vehicle was impounded and during an inventory of the vehicle several stolen items were recovered.

This is the second manhunt Llano County Sheriffs deputies have been on this week. Rocky Drew McIntosh, 36, is wanted on charge of aggravated assault of a peace officer after allegedly backing a stolen truck into Sunrise Beach Police Chief Laurie Brock during a traffic stop. McIntosh abandoned his pickup on CR 316 and escaped on foot, leading to a 24-hour pursuit in which authorities used search dogs, horse units and helicopters. After several reported sightings, McIntosh has not been apprehended and is still at-large.

The investigation of Adamson is ongoing, and Llano County Sheriff’s Office is assisted by the Llano County Constable Pct 4, and the Texas Rangers. Any information on the Adamson, the stolen vehicle or McIntosh should be reported to the Sheriff’s Department at 325-247-5050 or the Hill Country Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-TIPS (8477).For
