Ersie J. Few, 88, of Corinth, formerly from Buchanan Dam, died on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014.

She was born to Elgin and Sela (Christian) Adams on April 2, 1926, in Iaeger, West Virginia.

She was married for 46 years to Roy Odell Few. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Few enjoyed spending time with her family fishing, playing cards and board games. She known to be an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family and friends. She also enjoyed making memorial flower arrangements.

She belonged to Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church and was a lifetime member since 1986. She also worked hard and took pride in being in her local DAV Highland Lakes #198 Kingsland, Texas Chapter, and helping veterans in her community.

Few is survived by: her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Kenneth Cantrell, of Greenwood, Arkansas; Karen and Ted Lund, of Garibaldi, Oregon; Debbie Cooper, of Malakoff, Texas, and Marilyn and Jerry Hale, of Corinth, Texas; a son, Roy Few, of Log Lane Village, Colorado; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister, Eleanore McKinney, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, as well as: a daughter, Dreama Gaye Turpin; grandsons, Christopher and Michael Bevis.

Serving as pallbearers were: David Bostic Jr., Jeremy Hale, Coby Bostic, Brennen Washington, Trey Washington and Jarred Hale. Honorary pallbearers were amed as: Kenneth Cantrell and Jared Hale.

 A funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at the Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton with the Rev. Steve Leftwich officiating. Visitation with family was held Sunday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home.
