Rebecca Effie Moody

 

 

Rebecca Effie Moody, 83, of Highland Haven, Texas, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. 

A funeral service is planned Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, starting at 10 a.m. at Highland Lakes Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6642 West FM 1431, with lay pastor Garry Potter officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4 in Burnet.

Moody was born to Jackson W. L. and Naomi (Caudill) Moody on August 19, 1925 in Neosho, Missouri.

She was a member of the Highland Lakes Seventh Day Adventist Church of Granite Shoals and was known to love sewing, cooking, knitting, tending to her grandchildren and reading her Bible.

In her early years, Moody built amphibian bombers used in World War II, and was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, during the polio epidemic in the 1940s and 1950s.

She is survived by five generations of descendants, among them: sons and their spouses, Burt Fazekas and (ex-spouse,) Carol Fazekas, Brad and Janie Fazekas, Younce and Rhonda Denton, Thunder and Cara Denton; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Dan Ginder and Jill and Charlie Morris, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
