Spring Equinox celebration to be held tomorrow night
By Emily Hilley-Sierzchula
It’s not every night that a solar eclipse, super moon and spring equinox occur concurrently.
A group of more than 20 folks from around the region will celebrate the event Friday night, March 20, at the Standing Rocks in Cottonwood Shores.
“The power of a solar eclipse, spring equinox and a new moon are all playing into why tomorrow is such an important day,” said organizer Angela Henry, spiritual teacher, Thursday, March 19.
“It’s my way of teaching people how to connect to God by celebrating through dance and fellowship,” she said. “It’s just a different way to talk to God. It’s a way to appreciate all paths, for people to come together and connect.”
The event was limited to 24 people because that is the capacity of Foxglove Botanicals Juice Bar & Tea Garden in Cottonwood Shores.
At Foxglove, participants will learn how to make their own herbal tinctures, followed by the celebration at Standing Rocks.
“People choose what they want to make and put the powder or crushed herb into their little bottle,” she said. “It’ll be fun for people to see what it takes to mix all these ingredients together to make tinctures good for health and vitality.”
