Robert “Bob” LeRoy McAnally, 86, of Dripping Springs, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
A memorial service was held Thursday March 19, 2015, at 3 p.m. in Marble Falls at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
McAnally was fundamental in helping to incorporate the city of Dripping Springs and served on the Hays County Fair Board.
He and his wife, Jean, put on multiple youth rodeos, 4-H rodeos and horse shows. He was a superintendent for several major homebuilders in the Austin area and was co-owner of his own construction company. He loved to hunt and train horses.
McAnally was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served his country as a salvage diver during World War II.
In his retirement, the McAnallys traveled the United States.
He is survived by: wife, Jean; daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Robert Gott; son, Michael McAnally; five grandchildren, Travis McAnally Fisher, Tony McAnally Fisher, Cory Gott, Lisa Tatsch and Becky Sultemeier, and, two great-grandchildren, Scarlett Fisher and Tyler Tatsch.
