Phyllis Fay Huisenga
Phyllis Faye Huisenga, 89, of Marble Falls died Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
She was born to Jake and Fae Janssen on Aug. 1, 1925, in Lake City, Iowa.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at CookWalden Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
She was self-employed for 30 years. She was also a front desk manager at the Inn on Lake Travis for 25 years.
She belonged to the Disabled American Veterans, was Commander for two years and belonged to the EX POW.
She volunteered at Temple VA hospital for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jake and Fae Janssen; two sons, Danny Huisenga and Donald Huisenga, Jr.; one great-grandson, Jerry Lee Molene; three sisters, Elva Batz, Lavon Anderson and Evelyn Twogood, and, a brother, Harold Janssen.
She is survived by: her husband, Donald J. Huisenga; son, Daryl Huisenga; daughters, Zola Headman and Chris Hall and husband, Charlie.
Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
