Harold was born on March 12, 1943, and passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved son, Patrick Edward Ripley, a brother, John Ripley, and his parents.
Harold was raised by his grandparents, Earl J. Baker and Mary Belle Baker.
He joined the United States Army in 1961 and retired in January 1981 as a Sergeant First Class.
He then moved to Taylor, Texas, and was blessed, given the opportunity to meet and create a lot of lasting friendships in Taylor and the surrounding areas.
Harold was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #4476 Taylor, The American Legion Post #0039, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #173 Austin and The American Rifle Association.
Harold is survived by: daughter, Heidi M. Garison, and grandson, James P. Garison, of San Antonio, and daughter, Barbara A. Ripley, of Marble Falls, Texas.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Providence Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor with Rosary at 7 p.m.
A celebration of life mass was planned at 10 a.m., today, Oct. 20, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
