Maybelle Weisinger Hibler passed away on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at the age of 90 years.
Maybelle was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Hackett, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Frances Madglen Weisinger.
In 1931, with her parents, she moved from Wisconsin to Burnet, Texas, where her dad found work building Buchanan Dam.
She always said they never moved back to Wisconsin because her brother fell in love with Avis Schilling and her mother would not leave Texas without her son. Maybelle was a Texan from then on.
Maybelle married Richard ‘Dick’ Hibler on Nov. 20, 1943. They were married for 57 years at the time of his death.
Maybelle was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; brother, Ray Weisinger; daughter, Cherry Hibler; son-in-law, Greg Thompson, and, great-grandson, Randall Hibler.
Maybelle is survived by: her children and their spouses, Ronny and Linda Hibler of Marble Falls, Donna and Dewey Hollingsworth of Spicewood and Ricky and Terry Hibler of Horseshoe Bay.
Maybelle was a grandmother to Randy Hibler and wife, Valerie, Chrystal Whiteside and husband, Wade, Steven Hollingsworth, Eric Hibler and wife, Jolee, Bryan Hibler and fiancée, Amanda Pelky, Lynn Hollingsworth, Brandon Daughtery and wife, Suzie, Leslie Collins and husband, Stephen and Jeremy Daughtery.
She is also survived by: great-grandchildren, Dusty Hibler, Braidon Whiteside, Elizabeth Hibler, Amber Hibler, Haylee Whiteside, Hannah, Jack and Sam Collins, Sam, Clara and Ellen Daughtery, Deaglan Daughtery and Grace Cox; great-great-grandchildren, Solla and Luna Collins, as well as many nieces and nephews.
It was Maybelle’s wish to be cremated and the family has honored that wish.
They will receive family and friends for a visitation at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas, from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015.
A private interment by the family will be held at a later date at the City of Burnet Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Seton Highland Lakes Hospital for their care and compassion during her last days.
