Voting in the March 1 Primary Election depends on being registered to vote and the deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 1.
Early voting will be going on Feb. 16-26 and the last day requests for a ballot by mail can be accepted is Feb. 19. A ballot by mail must be received by election day March 1.
The two best resources for information about the March Primary are state and local voting administrations. The website www.VoteTexas.gov is a website maintained by Texas Secretary of State. The main website for that office, www.sos.state.tx.us. To consult the office of Burnet County Elections Administrator Doug Ferguson, choose “Elections” from “Departments” offered at www.burnetcountytexas.org. There you will find election dates, sample ballots and information about registering to vote and applying to vote by mail.
