The Great Texas Warrant Roundup begins Saturday, March 5.

Marble Falls and Granite Shoals are among 300 counties, justices of the peace courts, constables and municipalities participating. You could find yourself served with an outstanding warrant from any of them and jailed.

Hundreds of thousands of notices have been mailed statewide by participating entities, in what is believed to be the largest joint operation of its kind in the country. Each provides contact for the entity issuing the warrant and payment and community service options exist for many. Locally, nformation is available from Melissa Johnson, Marble Falls Municipal Court clerk, 830-693-7173, and from Lisa Crane, Granite Shoals Municipal Court clerk, 830-598-2424, extension 311.

The Marble Falls Municipal Court has more than 1,800 active warrants valued at more than $500,000 in fines, fees, and state mandated court costs. Granite Shoals has 368 active warrants valued at more than $123,360.
