Burnet County Sheriff’s authorities have confirmed the arrest of wanted man Lacy Pearson.

Burnet County Sheriff’s Department issued a release Saturday at 9 p.m.  stating that Pearson was apprehended at three hour earlier at 6 p.m. in Burnet during a traffic stop.

“Deputies initiated a stop in the 600 block of Buchanan Drive,” the release stated.  “The deputy

quickly recognized one of the vehicle occupants as a subject who was wanted by the United

States Marshal’s Office.”

Pearson was taken into custody without incident. Pearson was the subject of a search by multiple law enforcement agencies in the Bertram area on Wednesday, April 20 after his probation on a criminal charge was revoked by the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

“Officers had spotted Pearson and when they approached, he fled on foot into a wooded area.  Officers from the Sheriff’s Office, Burnet Police Department, Bertram Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol and Texas Department of Public Safety Aircraft Service spent several hours searching for Pearson but were unable to take him into custody on that day,” the release said.
