Marble Falls Police are investigating the alleged kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl from the west side of the city in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 24.
Marble Falls Capt. Glenn Hanson said the girl was discovered unconscious in her neighbor’s yard at 3:50 a.m.
“The neighbor found her and called 911 immediately,” Hanson said. “Police and EMS responded, and she was examined and released.”
Hanson said the girl did not sustain any serious injuries, only minor scratches.
“She snuck out of her house and claimed a couple of guys grabbed her and pulled her into a vehicle,” Hanson said.
The teen described the subjects as two Hispanic males in a dark colored pickup truck. According to a police department release, the girl heard one man tell the other that she was too young, and she was struck in the face and knocked unconscious before waking up in her neighbor’s yard.
As of Sunday afternoon, the girl was speaking with police investigators at the Marble Falls Police Station. Her family is fully involved, Hanson said.
“We are investigating it as a kidnapping,” he said. “It’s in the very early stages. I’ve got some information we are pursuing.”
