Stan was born July 22, 1930 to Claude and Dollie Crone in Childress, Texas.
He joined the Navy and served his country from 1948-1950 at which time he was honorably discharged to care for his mother.
Stanley met the love of his life, Pauline Hanna, in Turkey, Texas and they were united in marriage on June 16, 1951.
They made their home in Carlsbad, New Mexico where he worked for Potash Company of America as an electrician.

They moved to Port Lavaca, Texas in 1967 where he worked as an Electrical Supervisor until his retirement from Alcoa in 1992.
They then retired in Meadowlakes, Texas where he with his wife lived until his death.
