Bessie Allmon Story

Oct. 13, 1932 ~ July 24, 2016

Bessie Allmon Story, 83, was born on Oct. 13, 1932 in Saginaw, Texas.

Bessie passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016.

She was the last remaining survivor of six children born to the late Ernest and Georgia Allmon.

She graduated from Northwest High School in Haslet, Texas and then married the late Winford Story in 1955.

She raised two children and then adopted her grandson, the late Bryon Story, after her daughter fell to an untimely death.

She was heavily involved with St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Marble Falls Senior Center where she held various chairs over the years.

She is survived by her nephew Charles Pickens and family, longtime companion, Garland Terrel, and granddaughter in law, Samantha Rock-Story.

Bessie had a passion for life, for good food, and good music.

She enjoyed dancing with her companion at various restaurants around Marble Falls while listening to the live music of John Arthur Martinez.

She enjoyed the Hill County Community Theater, was involved in St. Peter’s Bible Study, and heavily supported the Women’s Crisis Center of Marble Falls.

She gave so much of herself in everything she did.

Throughout every setback or challenge set forth before her she rose up and conquered with nothing less than a positive attitude and complete faith in God.

Bessie touched the lives of many, was loved by all that met her, and she will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls.

Arrangements by Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas.
