On Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, Jimmie Mattison Counts of Marble Falls, known to all as “Matt”, was called home to be with God surrounded by family. Matt was born on Sept. 3, 1965 in Midand, Texas. Matt loved family and friends, and thrived on lasting and meaningful relationships. His love for life was as infectious as his smile, and to say he was a friend to many would be a huge understatement as Matt rarely met a stranger.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Amy Greenlees, of 25 years, married Oct. 5, 1991 and their beautiful daughters, Jessica Rodriguez (Jesse) and Mattie Counts (Jerry Mendez), his spirited grandson, Quincy Jesus Rodriguez, and his beloved dog, Jack. He is also survived by his cherished mother, Barbara Counts; sisters Carrie Wittliff (David), Connie Simmons (Clay), Cindy Jamar (Jerry); brother Vic Counts (Donna); mother-in-law Geneva Parker; father-in-law Clyde Greenlees; sisters-in-law Julie Boyd (Larry), Lori Forman (Jeff), Bonnie Rodriguez (Roland); brothers-in-law Sam Greenlees (Linnie), Matthew Greenlees; hoards of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends too many to count, and softball players coached by him.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Howard & Eva Joe Counts, Vic and Ruth Cours; father, Jim Counts; step-father-in-law, Jan Parker; sister Cathy Counts Douglass (Tom); nephew, Clayton Counts; brother-in-law, Eddie Fariss; and nephew Aubrey Fariss.

A memorial for Matt will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 at Church of Christ in Marble Falls.
