Larry Linnartz

Nov. 13, 1944 ~ Nov. 30, 2016

Larry Linnartz, director, lawyer, and friend of Horseshoe Bay Resort passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at his San Antonio home.

Larry was a, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him.

Larry was born on Nov. 13, 1944 a native Texan.

Mr. Linnartz attended Catholic School and was a graduate of Central Catholic in 1962 and St Mary’s University in 1967.

Following his voluntary joining of the U.S. Marine Corps he served his Country honorably during the Vietnam Era.

Following the Marine Corps, he returned to St. Mary’s University and graduated with this Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree.

The San Antonio District Attorney’s office was his home for five years then he entered private practice.

He had the credentials to try cases at the Supreme Court level and he also provided underwriting services for Lloyds of London.

For some twenty five years, he has been involved with the Horseshoe Bay Resort and Jetran International and was a close associate and friend of Morris D. Jaffe Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Linnartz; daughter, Chelyne Leifeste and husband James; grandchildren: Kyle Ellen and Lane Leifeste; sister, Rose Hoelscher; sister-in-law, Sharon Linnartz; brother-in-law, Kyle Landers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 at Mission Park Chapel Stone Oak. Private interment was held with Military Honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

His contributions to Horseshoe Bay Resort and its ownership will be greatly missed as will his presence at the Yacht Club during his weekends at the resort.
