Mustangs snap losing streak in boys basketball

Marble Falls scored a 53-39 victory over Medina Valley on Friday night for the Mustangs first win in District 26-5A this season.
Keegan Deering had a solid start with a steal and a pair of 3-pointers early to help spark the Mustangs to a double digit lead early.
Deering scored 10 of his game high 21 points in the first half.
Marble Falls (10-15, 1-6) will have a pair of home games this week against district leader Boerne Champion and Kerrville Tivy.
In other games Friday night, Alamo Heights beat Kerrville Tivy, 41-21, Seguin edged Dripping Springs, 47-44, and Boerne Champion beat Lockhart.
The Marble Falls girls blasted Medina Valley at Max Copeland Gymnasium Friday night, 69-27, to push Marble Falls to 20-8 and 8-1.
The Lady Mustangs have a pair of key games on the road this week against Boerne Champion and on Friday against Kerrville Tivy. Marble Falls and Kerrville Tivy are tied for the District 26-5A lead at 8-1.
