MFISD technologist now Google certified
Adam Goodman trains Marble Falls High School teachers in the cloud-based Google tools for classroom.
Marble Falls Independent School District (MFISD) teachers working to leverage their students’ learning by using the latest resources now can get expert assistance from newly certified Google for Education Trainer, Adam Goodman.
Goodman is a district instructional technologist who helps teachers combine their successful traditional teaching approaches with available technology resources so students in Marble Falls are best prepared to compete in today’s information-based world.
“We’re getting our students ready for a different world than the one most adults grew up in,” said Goodman. “I have been working to earn the Google for Education Certified Trainer endorsement ever since MFISD adopted the Google for Education system. The Certified Trainer training and exams ensure that I have the skills to support, plan, and implement professional development for teachers on Google tools. As Google for Education develops, I look forward to supporting teachers in redefining teaching and learning in Marble Falls.”
MFISD adopted the Google for Education system in conjunction with the last bond implementation to support teachers in lesson and assignment delivery, to provide a simple online communication platform for parents and students, to provide students with free, secure email access, and to provide teachers and students with unlimited data storage for their educational use.
In a letter to MFISD, David Chen, Program Manager for Google for Education said about Goodman’s achievement, “We wanted to recognize your achievement in supporting teacher professional growth. In education, strong professional development leaders are needed to help educators integrate technology into classroom teaching. It’s inspiring how you’ve stepped into this role and inspired faculty to learn more about technology for education.”
