Six Thinking Hats: A Tool to Sharpen Your Thinking–We use tools for our everyday activities such as a computer, a hammer, or a cookbook to help us accomplish our tasks quicker and easier. But do we use a tool for our thinking in order to make our decisions faster? Or, do you say to yourself if only I could figure this out, or I’m going in circles trying to decide just what to do. In this workshop, you will learn how to separate thinking into six valuable functions and roles. Each thinking role is identified with a colored symbolic "thinking hat." By mentally wearing and switching "hats," you can easily focus or redirect your thoughts, the conversation, or the meeting. Using the tool Six Thinking Hats®, participants will learn how to:

  • think clearly and objectively
  • view problems from new and unusual angles
  • make thorough evaluations
  • see all sides of a situation
  • look at problems, decisions, and opportunities systematically
  • stimulate innovation by generating more and better ideas quickly
  • go beyond the obvious to discover effective alternate solutions
  • spot opportunities where others see only problems
  • achieve significant and meaningful results

Instructor: Lisa Bargsley, C.P.A., M.B.A., She holds an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and has been licensed as a CPA in Texas since 1994. Lisa is frequently invited to speak at business seminars and other functions.
