The City of Marble Falls has approved the first phase construction plans for Gregg Ranch, the 240-acre master-planned residential community under development at Texas 71 and US 281 and the city's largest of its kind is poised for a start.

As part of the first phase, the developer, Harvard Investments, will fund water and waste water extensions for the development. The decision to seek annexation into Marble Falls rather than Round Mountain city limits was made in 2014 on the basis of the availability of its utility service.

Approval of our construction plans for Gregg Ranch means we can move ahead with infrastructure improvements and really get this fine residential community underway,” Chris Cacheris, vice president of Harvard Investments, said. “We appreciate the confidence of the City of Marble Falls as we move forward.”

The city approved the construction layout for the community and the engineering for the construction. In the first phase, the developer will extend the water and sewer infrastructure from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center throughout the development.

Plans for Gregg Ranch were announced in May 2016. It will be a 240-plus-acre master-planned residential community of 700 homes to be built just south of the intersection of Texas 71 and US 281 in Marble Falls. Homes in Gregg Ranch will be available in 2018, with prices starting from the mid-$200,000s. Gregg Ranch is projected to be one of the largest master-planned residential communities in Marble Falls, in terms of both the number of homes and the square acreage of the community.

With the agreement of the city council Jan. 3, the development plan delayed has delayed Phase II amenities for now.
