Delaney Kelley qualifies for regional.

The Mustang girls golf team competed in the District 26 5A tournament  Monday and Tuesday at the Golf Club of Texas in San Antonio.  Delaney Kelley had a personal best 76 in the second round to qualify for the Regional tournament.  Her 160 total was good for 4th place and the second advancing medalist position. Delaney also earned First Team All-District with this top 10 finish. Kassidy Reitan broke 90, which was her goal, by shooting a second round 89 and a 186 total.  McKinley Birdwell shot a personal best 99 on Tuesday and finished at 208.

Dripping Springs won the team title after shooting a solid 654. Boerne Champion was second at 693 followed by Alamo Heights at 708.  Only the top two teams qualify for regional in golf. First advancing medalist was Annaclaire Mako of Alamo Heights at 159.  The district champion medalist was Lindsey Koppel from Dripping Springs who shot a fine 148.  Second place was Boerne Champions' Grizzaffi at 158.

The Regional tournament will be on April 24 and 25 at the Golf Club of Texas.
