Paul Ronald “Ronnie” Sauer
Paul Ronald “Ronnie” Sauer
July 12, 1951 - April 10, 2016
If you had the honor of knowing Paul Ronald Sauer, you are a blessed person. Most commonly known as “Ronnie” by close friends and family, Ronnie had a way to brighten your day. Whether it was sharing a beer with you or lending a helping hand in whatever you needed. He was one of the most generous persons you could ever have the pleasure to meet. Ronnie was also well known for his kindness, calmness of heart, and peaceableness. Although he was not a man of many words, at times you could catch him dancing and singing to his favorite songs without a care in the world, regardless of who his audience was. Again, you’re a very blessed person if you were a part of one of these privileged occasions.
He was a simple man, believing that you didn’t need much in life to be happy. His dream was to own a peaceful and quiet ranch in Mexico, and he lived to see that dream fulfilled. He spent his last years in Mexico enjoying life on his ranch. There wasn’t much in life that could bring him greater pleasure than gardening and taking care of his roses (and you can bet that if you lived near Ronnie, your garden would never top his). His beautiful ranch was located in Guanajuato, Mexico. He chose the perfect place to live his dream. With majestic mountains painting a serene portrait around his home, along with the touch of his green thumb to perfectly accent the natural beauty of his land, his home was not only charming but rustic with the imprint of being built by his own two hands. His dream was not to live in luxury or riches, but rather to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like the gifts of nature, friends, good food, walking barefoot, and of course … peanut butter!
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Loredo Alvarez, and his five daughters that miss him dearly: Melanie Sauer, Melissa Frerich, Melinda Sauer, Rebeca Lizeth De Luna, and Jennifer Delgado, along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger sister and brother-in-law, Belinda and John Kemper. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Paul and B. Ruth Sauer.
Ronnie was born in Burnet, Texas, on July 12, 1951 and passed away at the age of 64 on April 10, 2016 at his home in Principal San Isidro, Guanajuato, Mexico. Although he has passed, his qualities, love, and memory continue to live on in his daughters and the lives of those he has touched. We look forward to seeing him again so he can continue to share his secrets to growing the most beautiful roses and … if you’re fortunate enough … he might share a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup with you.
Love and miss you always Daddy. We can’t wait to see your kind eyes and sweet smile again. (Rev. 21:3, 4; Job 14:14, 15)
