Baylor Scott & White Health has named Tim Ols president of its Hill Country Region. Ols is a proven leader in the health care industry with success in growing organizations and enhancing care. In his new role, Ols will lead all operations, facilities and employees in the Hill Country area for Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas.

 

We are excited to welcome Tim Ols to the Baylor Scott & White Health family,” said Pat Currie, president of Central Texas Division - Operations for Baylor Scott & White Health. “His leadership skills and engaging nature will be an asset to our facilities in the Central Texas area and to the patients we serve here. We look forward to Tim being an active, contributing member of the community.”

Most recently, Ols served as president and CEO of Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System, a not-for-profit health care system in Mattoon, Ill., where he led the growth and development of the system to a regional referral center. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and COO of Greene Memorial Hospital, and then president of Southview Hospital, both in the Kettering Health Network in Kettering, Ohio. Ols has also served in leadership positions at Carle Foundation Hospital and Mercy Health Partners. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Ols holds a bachelor of arts degree in social work and a master’s of business administration degree, both from Cleveland State University.

Ols is committed to his community and has volunteered for many different organizations. He has served as the Heart Walk Campaign Chair for the American Heart Association in 2014 and 2015, raising money to fight heart disease and stroke. Ols was a board member for the Mattoon Area Family YMCA and executive board member and district chair for the Lincoln Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Baylor Scott & White Hill Country Region encompasses Scott & White Hospital-Llano, Baylor Scott & White Hospital – Marble Falls, and clinics in Burnet, Horseshoe Bay, Johnson City, Kingsland, Llano, Marble Falls, Mason, San Saba, as well as its Marble Falls Specialty Clinic, which houses 17 specialties.
