The Harmony School of Creative Arts Spring Dance Recital will presented in three performances, entitled “Time Flies,” this weekend at Hill Country Community Theater in Cottonwood Shores.
The presentations will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 4.
The recital will include dancers from all age groups and experience levels, demonstrating their skill and artistry choreographed to delight the young and young at heart.
“Our dance faculty have been working diligently to ensure students are ready to perform,” said Kenneth Jordan, executive director of the non-profit school that serves the Highland Lakes area from its studio in Marble Falls. “This year's recital promises to be memorable as we welcome so many young dancers and bid fare well to our graduates.”
From ballet and tap to folk, modern and free form, “Time Flies” carries dancers through different eras and dance genres for artistic interpretation on stage. The fast paced production answers any preference for style or age of dancers.
The recital will be the final production of the spring semester of the Harmony Academy of Dance. Summer classes begin on June 12.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students ages 3-12. Younger children will be admitted without charge as long as they are able to sit in a parent's lap. They can be purchased at the door or in advance, online from www.tututix.com/harmony.
