Phaneta Ann (Holland) Young

January 16, 1952 ~ May 28, 2017

Phaneta Ann (Holland) Young, affectionately known as Neita Ann, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at home in Marble Falls. She was born January 16, 1952, in San Antonio to Kenneth Holland and Ruby Faye (Wilkinson) Holland. She married Frank Young on June 6, 1970, in Burnet.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Nathan Young.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Frank Young; a brother, Samuel Holland and sister-in-law Julie Holland, both of Marble Falls; two sons, Jonathan Young of Marble Falls and David Young and and Michelle Young of Burnet; and five grandchildren, Rachel, Raleigh, Nolan, Ginger and Tucker, all of Burnet; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Reading the words of Proverbs chapter 31 reminds one of Neita Ann. Anyone who had the privilege to know her for any length of time could tell you that these verses of scripture defined the very essence of who she was. It would appear that Neita Ann took these words of life, and patterned her life as closely to them as she possibly could. Truly, the heart of her husband did safely trust in her, and she did him good all the days of her life. Her hands were nimble, and diligent as she worked with materials of wool, cotton, silk, and lace to create, improve, and mend literally thousands of purses, articles of clothing, bedding, and household furnishings. She loved sewing, and dearly loved to make little dresses for her granddaughters!

Neita Ann girded herself about with the strength of the Lord. Never did you hear her complain, for she had placed her confidence in her God, and she was therewith content. In times of little and in times of much, you could witness her thankful spirit with whatever God had provided. Always ready to help those in need, Neita Ann’s heart and compassion overflowed into many different lives.

Gentleness and kindness was the law of her tongue. A quiet laughter, and a twinkle in her eyes, always made you feel the love that she had for you. Her ears were always ready to listen, and her heart was filled with wisdom.

Today, her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and the many lives whom she touched with loving-kindness, arise up and call her blessed! Many have tried to be the virtuous woman; Neita Ann Young succeeded!

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 5, 2017, at 6 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse Church located at 261 CR 250, Georgetown.
