Stephen Francis Kinsella

d. May 22, 2017

Stephen Francis Kinsella, 56, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on May 22, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Steve was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, resided in Maine for two decades, then came to a fork in the road and “took a left” as he found his way to Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, and most recently a grandfather, which was the light of his days. Steve’s hobby was following the New England Patriots, the Red Sox, and building things. He enjoyed a successful career as a construction superintendent.

Steve is survived by his wife Pamela, son Thomas Kohlmeyer and wife Lynn of Burnet; son Nicholas Sankowsky and wife Clare of Lubbock; daughter Sasha Wiggins and husband Shiloh of Marble Falls; son Steve Kinsella Jr. of Florida; son Joe Johnson of Maine; sister Kathleen Fuenffinger and Bob Kensy of Sturgis, South Dakota; sister Laura Pawlendzio and husband Stan of Newport, New Hampshire; sister Rita Zimmer and husband Rory, brother Thomas Kinsella and wife Rose, all of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Steve was also blessed with many nieces and nephews that he cherished. The outpouring of love from his entire family, close and far away, those he had talked with recently and many who he had not, was like a melody to his heart which lifted him up and gave him the great strength to fight. There was no greater gift, as it gave him life.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Marie (Winslow) Kinsella, and sister Mary Goble.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
