Pet PALS clinics set

Pet PALS is having two low-cost spay/neuter clinics in August — on Tuesday, Aug. 8, and Tuesday, Aug. 29 .

The clinics will be held at its facility at 2003 Ranch to Market Road 1431 West in Marble Falls.

They are not limited to Marble Falls residents, but animals are accepted by appointment only. For more information or to make an appointment, call 830-598-7729.

PetPALS Clinics are held twice a month for domesticated cats and dogs only. A spay/neuter financial assistance program (SNAP) helps low income pet owners and senior citizens (with income documentation).

Founded in 2005, PetPALS has a mission to provide low cost spay/neuter services and to educate the public about the impact of unaltered companion animals in the Highland Lakes community.

When pet owners call in for an appointment, they will be reminded to withhold food and water from their pets after 10 p.m. the night before surgery and to bring a current rabies vaccination certificate, as tags are insufficient verification. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a carrier.

The non-profit organization is always in need of financial support and volunteers. For volunteer information, contact  PetPALS by email, info@petpalsmarblefalls.org. For more information about the organization, visit their website, www.petpalsmarblefalls.org.
