Hill Country Humane Society volunteers Kim Nave, Ray Bishop, Lynn Bishop, Joan Gardner and Lynn Cloud are ready for another Show & Shine this Saturday at Horseshoe Bay Ace Hardware.
Beginning Aug. 5, the Hill Country Humane Society (HCHS) will host a “Show & Shine” event the first Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Horseshoe Bay Ace Hardware.
Show & Shine gives shelter animals a chance to increase their social skills and help them find forever homes. Ace Hardware owner Wylie Dunn and general manager Gary Stites have invited the Humane Society to come to the store as often as possible and a dedicated group of volunteers will make this happen.
Volunteers to assist with future Show and Shine events welcomed by calling the shelter at 512-793-5463. All formal adoptions are done at the shelter facility to avoid spur of the moment decisions as well as ensure proper paperwork and correct microchipping.
Stop by Horseshoe Bay Ace Hardware at 9714 Farm to Market Road 2147 to meet the animals and learn more about the Hill Country Humane Society, a shelter formerly known as the Christ-Yoder Animal Shelter in Buchanan Dam and serving Burnet and Llano counties.
