Kenneth Ray Bertling went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017. He was born on Aug. 20, 1936, in Knippa, Texas to Fletcher Ray Bertling and Linnie Catherine Herring Bertling.

Kenneth was married to Barbara Pauline Stephens of Marble Falls on Nov. 17, 1956. Both were graduates of Marble Falls High School Class of 1953.

Kenneth is survived by two sisters: Laurie (Bertling) Long of Round Rock; and Cathy (Bertling) Barker of Marble Falls; four children, Rhonda (Bertling) Maugham and husband James of Liberty Hill; Sheryl (Bertling) Doyal and husband Tracy of Liberty Hill; David Bertling and wife Lisa of Liberty Hill; and Rebecca (Bertling) Brasuel and husband Mike of Marble Falls; grandchildren, Heather and husband Eric, Stephanie and husband Earl, Matt and wife Alexa, Michael and wife Rose, Daniel and wife Katie, Tracy and husband Patrick, Robert, William, Rachel and husband Jon, Brennan, Hunter and Hannah; 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many other loved ones.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, by his parents, his sisters Gay (Bertling) Galey and Judy (Bertling) Carpenter; his brother-in-law Louis Denton Long, Jr.; and his granddaughter Christian Brasuel.

Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 10, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 11, at Granite Mountain Baptist Church, Marble Falls.

The family has asked that any donations in lieu of flowers be made to Granite Mountain Baptist Church, Baptist Men’s Fund at 500 Farm Road 1980, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
