Frances Ebeling

d. January 20, 2018

Frances Ebeling of Round Mountain, Texas, passed away peacefully Jan. 20, 2018.

Frances was a dedicated wife and mother. She came to the Hill Country in 1944 as the Blanco County home demonstration agent at the time when electricity was just coming into the area. She was very proud of the work she did to educate the residents on how to use this new technology.

Frances worked alongside Jack, her husband of 71 years, to carry on operation of the Lazy E Ranch, building up a Registered Hereford herd that was recognized as one of the premier herds in the country. She was very involved with the Texas Hereford Association, Texas Beef Council, Texas Hereford Auxiliary and the Hill Country Cattlewomen promoting ranching.

As a member of the Marble Falls Methodist Church, she spent many years working with the Children’s Church and Sunday School and keeping their freezer supplied with cookies and casseroles to be delivered to members.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jack J. Ebeling, and is survived by her daughter, Martha and husband Steve Baker; son, Lynn Ebeling and wife Mya; granddaughter Amber Ebeling Bartosh; and grandson Slater Ebeling.

A joint memorial service for Frances and Jack will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of Celeste Care Assisted Living at Horseshoe Bay and Kindred Hospice for their professional care and kindness.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls Scholarship Fund, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr., Marble Falls, TX 78654, or the charity of your choice.
