Today, Friday, Feb. 9, H-E-B opens its doors to a new, world-class Marble Falls store.

Welcome to your new H-E-B,” store director Rudy Gill said Thursday at a sneak preview of the new 111,000-square-foot facility, located adjacent to its old store at 1503 RM 1431 West in Marble Falls.

I am extremely proud to serve this Marble Falls community and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better,” Gill said. “Over the past few months, we have spent a lot of time putting together a great team to run this store. It is truly an honor for us to get to serve you. If there is anything we can do to make your experience better, we hope you will let us know.”

Marble Falls has been home to H-E-B for more than 50 years and we are more than delighted to honor the longtime requests for a bigger and better store for this community that has been so loyal,” said Jeff Thomas, senior vice president and general manager, H-E-B Central Texas Region. “As the community grows, so will we — Marble Falls deserves it.”

The new store is thoughtfully designed and will offer more than ever before, with the highest quality brand innovation and world-class shopping with an emphasis on simple and fresh quality food options. In addition, the store will have more check stands and more employees.

Following the opening, construction will continue with demolition of the old store to add additional parking as well as construction of an H-E-B fuel station, completing the final phase of the project in the Fall 2018.

Shoppers now have access to chef inspired meals in minutes with H-E-B Meal Simple heat and eat options, H-E-B’s curbside pickup. Trained H-E-B partners will even load your car for you.

The store will feature a Lake Gear department, specifically stocked with the Marble Falls and Highland Lakes residents and visitors in mind.

Store management indicate there are 339 H-E-B partners employed at the Marble Falls store, with 120 new jobs created.

On Thursday, H-E-B also announced a community donation totaling $12,000. The Helping Center of Marble Falls will receive $1,000 in H-E-B gift cards, and $1,000 in a credit from H-E-B at the Central Texas Food Bank for larger orders.

The Marble Falls Independent School District Education Foundation will receive $10,000 in H-E-B gift cards to support needs across their campuses. Students and booster clubs will sell and exchange the $25 gift cards for cash from customers wanting to participate on grand opening day.

H-E-B first opened its doors in Marble Falls on May 1, 1966. The location at the corner of RM 1431 and Bluebonnet Drive opened in 1990.
