Mormon Mill Road traffic in Marble Falls was blocked Monday due to the report of a suspicious package at the car wash on that street that turned out to be nothing harmful.
The Marble Falls Police Department kept traffic cordoned off for the arrival of a Austin PD bomb disposal unit, which determined the “package” was not a bomb.
A call came in to the MFPD at 11:43 a.m. Monday from a woman who noticed the package by the vacuum cleaners at the business north of Grand Bank of Texas, according to Sgt. Investigator Barry Greer on the scene.
Hill Country Foot and Ankle Clinic at 1001 Marble Heights was the only business evacuated, Capt. Glenn Hanson reported at 1:40 p.m., while others nearby sheltered in place.
