Jim "Bo" Oldham
Jim "Bo" Oldham
February 5, 1944 — April 21, 2018
On Saturday, April 21, 2018, Heaven gained the strongest angel we've ever known. Bo passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1944, in Childress, Texas, to Ollie and Carl Epps.
Growing up in Lubbock, he graduated from Lubbock High School in 1962. He was his high school sports writer and an excellent athlete, going onto play basketball for the University of Texas at Arlington, where he graduated in 1967.
Bo spent the majority of his working career in the auto industry as a liaison between the dealers and the factory for VW/Audi of America in Colorado, Oregon and California.
He was a devoted family man and adored his wife of 50 years and his three children. Bo's greatest pleasure was listening to his grandkids' laughter and watching them play sports.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; sons, Casey Oldham (wife Samantha) and Corey Oldham; daughter, Calli Curran (husband Stephen); grandchildren; Alexis Wheeler (husband Cory), Cameron and Gannon Curran, Campbell and Connor Oldham; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Brody and Nova Wheeler; and sister Judy Hogue (husband Robert). In addition, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A very heartfelt thank you to everyone at Seton Medical Center in Austin for the loving care each of you showed him over the years. Special gratitude to Dr. Mary Beth Cishek (cardiologist) for never giving up on him.
Our hearts break, but we know he is no longer in pain. We will love and miss him forever but take solace in knowing he is with the Lord and one day will welcome us with open arms.
In lieu of flowers, Bo's request was to please consider becoming an organ donor. He received the precious gift of a heart which afforded him five additional years of life with his loving family.
