Toby Guy Blaylock, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, surrounded by his family in Round Mountain, Texas.
Toby was born on April 20, 1939, in Electra, Texas, to Underwood Venus Blaylock and Jewel Rae Whisnand Blaylock.
He retired from the United States Army after 23 years of active and reserve service. He also retired from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) and one of his proudest accomplishments was being involved in the construction and maintenance of the Ferguson Power Plant in Horseshoe Bay.
He was a devoted and loving dad, grandpa, father-in-law and friend to many. He took great pride in cooking and caring for his family and friends, working on and around his property and making treasures with his heart and hands that all who received will forever cherish.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ann Blaylock; his parents; and his sister, Zona Jane Blaylock.
Toby is survived by: daughters, Zona Rene Amidon and husband, Kenny; Peggy Johnson and husband, Tommy; and son Monte Blaylock and wife, Lorena. Grandchildren, Rebekah Gandy, Levi Gandy, Stacy Gandy, Heather McGinty and husband, Ian; Colton Jamison, Turner Jamison and Ariel Blaylock. Great-Grandchildren, Zona DuBose, Xavier DuBose, Kristian DuBose, Austin Gandy, Mason McGinty, Nicholas McGinty and Aidan McGinty. He is also survived by extended family friend, Mike Staten, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, and graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Marble Falls Cemetery, with Chaplain Richard Vandeventer officiating.
