Beulah Merline “Merle” Godwin Holland, 97, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2018. Beulah was born July 6, 1921, at the family home in Long Cove near Lometa, Texas to Enoch Godwin and Nollie Bell Hill. Beulah taught in various schools for 30 plus years. She was active in these clubs/organizations: Spicewood Baptist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teachers, Quilt Club, Silver Sneakers, Book Club, and Abundant Life.
Beulah is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Rudolph S. Holland and Clifton H. Holland; her sisters, Glenna Mae Ross, Tiana Smith, Day Alva Trainer Beckman, Ruth Gadbury, Lillian Brown and May Dell Hudgins Dupuis; her brother, Riley Godwin; and great-grandson, Casey Joshua Holland.
She is survived by son, Gary R Holland and wife Trudy of Lexington, Texas; daughter, Jeanene Dumas and husband Ralph of Grand Prairie, Texas; stepchildren: Dr. David Holland and wife Melita of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jeanene Hullender and husband Morris of Ringgold, Georgia, and Paul Holland and wife Pat of Kingsland, Texas; grandchildren, Craig Holland and wife Anne-Maree, Jodie Rexroat and husband Jeremy, Jason Dumas and fiancé Kristi, Justin Dumas and wife Rachel and Kim Barnett and husband Mike; stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey Graham and wife Victoria, Lori Graham, Stephanie Graham McPherson and husband Jonathan, Hilary Holland Swartz and husband Timothy, Jonathan Holland, Jennifer Holland, Brittany Holland and Daniel Holland and Kara Lehmann; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Riley Rexroat, Isabelle Holland, Jase, Diana, Daniel and Gabriella Dumas, Jamie Kathleen Dumas, Morgan and Kaden Barnett; step-great-grandchildren, Zoe Graham, Zachary White, Zella and Zeke McPherson, Calleigh and Alexandria Graham, Gibson and Xander Graham, and Noah and Julian Swartz; and numerous nieces, nephews, loving neighbors and friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Interment will follow at Fairland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13.
