Barbara Louise Trussell Bowles, 79 of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away on Thursday morning, Aug. 16, 2018 in her home.

Barbara was born on Nov. 28, 1938, in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating from Marble Falls High School, she married Lesuell Dwayne Bowles on Aug. 21, 1958 and had three children: Edwin Lesuell, Gwendolyn Yvonne and Darrell Leon.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Oran D and Ruby Trussell; her brother Jerry Trussell; and Les' parents Lester and wife Izola Bowles.

Those left behind to keep the memory of her love and affection alive include her husband of 61 years, Les Bowles of Marble Falls; Edwin Bowles of Alexandria, Louisiana; Gwen Messina of Alexandria, Louisiana and Darrell Bowles of Marble Falls. Grandchildren include: Brittany Kinnamon of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Tony Messina of Scott, Louisiana, Chad Bowles of Lafayette, Louisiana, Nicky Messina of Alexandria, Louisiana, Joey Messina of Ruston, Louisiana and Amanda Messina of Alexandria/Monroe, Louisiana. Their spouses include: Brock, Kaycee, Kayli, Brooke and Chaz. There are also eight great grandchildren. We would be remiss without mentioning Jack her loyal dog and friend. She is also survived by her brothers Leroy and Bobby Trussell and their wives Sandra and Mary, her sisters in law Bonnie Disney and Susie Hill and their spouses Vernon and Mike, and brother in law Travis Bowles along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, Aug. 18, from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. A Christian burial was celebrated for Barbara at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home with the Rev. Bo Crumley officiating. Interment followed at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
