Mamie Dell Vance

May 10, 1914 — September 17, 2018

Mamie Dell Vance, of Marble Falls, passed away on September 17, 2018. She was born in Comanche, Texas on May 10, 1914, to Jack Creek, Sr., and Mary Lewis Creek. She married Edward “Ted” Vance on July 23, 1935 and the two were married for 57 years. She attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood. She worked at Montgomery Wards for 23 years in the accounting department. She also worked at Charles Maund Automotive for several years in the credit department in Austin. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Marble Falls. She loved to be around family and friends. She also loved to fish, travel, and work in her flower beds.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Ted” Vance; brothers, Elmer Creek, Bill Creek, Joe Creek, Jack Creek Jr.; and sisters, Effie Tinney, Lillie Mae Hicks, Imogene Hooten.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4 – 6 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, Marble Falls and interment will be at 2:00 pm at the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery in Goldthwaite, Texas.
