Verna Lenora Alston, 91, of Wheeler, formerly of Marble Falls, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, in Wheeler.

Graveside services were held at Marble Falls Cemetery in Marble Falls on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Arrangements by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.

Verna was born in Marble Falls to E.L. and Christine Tatum on April 1, 1927. She had been a resident of Wheeler since 2006. She married Albert Jackson on Oct. 7, 1950, in Burnet, Texas. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 1992. She later married Raybourn Alston on July 13, 1994, in Burnet. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2007. She was a secretary in the Marble Falls public school system and a member of the First Baptist Church and Granite Mountain Baptist Church in Marble Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Albert; and her second husband, Raybourn.

Survivors include her stepson, Gary Alston and wife Karen of Wheeler; and one grandson, Dee Alston.
