Homer Robert Lee Moore

August 21, 1938 — September 20, 2018

Homer Robert Lee Moore, born Aug. 21, 1938, in Greenwood, Texas, passed away on Sept. 20, 2018, and left behind a very loving family and friends who will miss him terribly.

Along with his family and friends, he and his wife, Pat, cared for a large menagerie of animals whom they loved dearly and who will wonder where their loving caretaker and friend has gone.

A skilled machinist by trade, after graduating from high school, and serving in the Army, Homer worked for a division of Halliburton in Fort Worth until he retired in 1995 and moved from Decatur, Texas, to a small mini-ranch in the lovely community of Marble Falls, Texas, where he and his wife Pat cared for their horses, dogs, cats and a small number of cows and their calves.

Homer was a very proud Texan, who spoke softly and had a beautiful smile and loved his wife Pat deeply. He also loved to fish, hunt and work in the outdoors and play the game “42.”

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Faith Ann; five brothers; parents and grandparents. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa and her children, Emily, Patrick, Gennifer and Aubry, and Terry and her children, Josh, Bobby and Chastity; sister, Nadine; as well as his loving wife, Pat.

The family is completed by numerous nieces and nephews and two stepchildren, Michelle Tierney and Michael Carter.

He will be dearly missed.

Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 27, at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home. The graveside service was Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Texas.
