The Here & Now brings Celtic Christmas to Nollaig

The Austin-based Irish traditional band The Here & Now are returning for the third annual Nollaig, a Celtic Christmas celebration and concert, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Avenue D, Marble Falls.

Tickets are $20 for this special, family-friendly Celtic Christmas concert benefitting Phoenix Center and are available for purchase online at thehereandnowmusicatx.com/store.

A portion of the ticket sales benefit the Phoenix Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Marble Falls, committed to meeting the need for high-quality, innovative mental health care for children and families in need.

The Here & Now is an exciting band comprised of Chris Buckley (fiddle), Niamh Fahy (fiddle), Rob Forkner (Bodhrán) and Joseph Carmichael (guitar). All accomplished musicians in their own right, together they create a rich and captivating sound full of energy that presents Irish traditional music in a contemporary context.

Drawing from each of their backgrounds in Irish music, with a geography spanning the United States and Ireland, The Here & Now keep tradition at the heart of their music.

Founded in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the mission of the Phoenix Center is to inspire hope, health, and healing by providing the highest level of mental health care to every child and family through innovative trauma-informed therapy and education.

The Phoenix Center employs only highly trained professionals and provides multiple research-based therapeutic interventions all under one umbrella; something found nowhere else in Texas.

Phoenix Center services include:

* Phoenix Community Mental Health Clinic: The highest level of care for every child and family, research-based and trauma-informed services, play therapy for young children;

* Phoenix Parenting: Research-based parenting programs with documented results;

* Phoenix After-School: Therapeutic children’s groups for children with acute special needs;

* Camp Phoenix: Therapeutic camp sessions at Candlelight Ranch – including equine therapy – using its own innovative model found nowhere else in Texas.

* Community Outreach & Collaborations: Innovative trauma-informed trainings & community partnerships to best meet the complex needs of children and families who have experienced trauma. Our partnership with MFISD allows us to serve more children in need today — even before the construction of our expanded future facilities.
