Clara Boone Hill

June 18, 1930 — February 14, 2019

On Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, Clara Boone Hill, loving mother and grandmother, gained her wings. She was 88 years old.

Clara was born on June 18, 1930, in Whitsett, North Carolina, to Frank and Zula Boone. She moved to Marble Falls upon meeting and marrying the father of her three sons, John H. Hill.

Clara was a most giving person; she never met a stranger. She worked at H-E-B food store some 30 years before retiring. She was known by many as “Miss HEB”, the Marble Falls “unofficial Welcome Wagon.” You never saw Clara that she wasn’t smiling. She was known for her kind heart, her infectious smile, compassionate spirit and love for her god.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Zula; her four sisters, Elizabeth Gannon, Vera Moore, Annie Ruth Brady and Patsy Boone; her three brothers, Tom, Carl and Henry and John H. Hill.

She is survived by her three sons and their wives, John and Michelle Hill, Paul and Vickie Hill and Phillip and Suzanne Hill; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held March 7 at 1 p.m. at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Texas Shriners.
