Kathleen Marie Brown

July 24, 1947 - April 24, 2019

 The Purpose of Mom

With her four children, mom planted the seed of love, the knowledge of God our Father, and the hope of our salvation in Jesus Christ. With those seeds, more seeds have been planted. Generations will follow with the seeds she has cultivated. Mom acknowledged the love God had for her and in return, loved everyone. Thus serving her purpose on this earth.

An infectious smile and generous spirit, Kathleen Marie Brown, was known as Grammy to her ten grandchildren: Greg, Hannah, Emma, Megan, Sammie, Kyle, Gabriel, Mia, Allison, and Teagen.

Kathleen was born on July 24, 1947 in East St. Louis, Illinois and passed away on April 24, 2019 in Marble Falls, Texas. She was born to Col. Victor Bess (Retired US Army) and Rose Bess and survived by her four children, Jennifer, Heather, Steven, and Kevin.

Kathleen enjoyed playing cards with friends, attending Bible Studies, and reading. From the beginning of life, Kathleen was blessed to have lived in several countries such as France, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. She was able to experience traveling to famous landmarks like Notre Dame, Mount Sinai, the Black Forest, and Stonehenge. Though Kathleen struggled with cancer for several years, her faith never wavered. Her hope in Jesus gave her peace knowing that she would soon be reunited with her parents, her sister, Cindy, and her niece, Sarah.
