Llano woman gets three years for stealing from bank

A Llano woman was sentenced in a San Antonio courtroom to three years in federal prison Thursday, April 25, for stealing more than $900,000 from Arrowhead Bank in Llano, officials announced.

U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez sentenced Kelley Ranae Jones, 45, to the prison term followed by five years of supervised release and ordered that she pay $905,372.49 in restitution to the bank, announced U.S. Attorney John F. Bash and FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Combs..

On Jan. 28, 2019, Jones pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement by a bank employee. By pleading guilty, she admitted that while employed at the bank from 2011 to 2018, she stole the money by manipulating entries in Arrowhead bank records.

FBI agents conducted this investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean B. O’Connell prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
