Marble Falls Mustangs senior stays strong for his mother

Mustangs outfielder Sean Ferrell honored his mother's memory with a banner in right field at Marble Falls High School's Scearce field.

Marble Falls senior baseball player Sean Ferrell found inspiration in his mother's memory to finish the baseball season and his senior year strong.
In 2010, Sean's mother, Cathy Rose, was diagnosed with stage-four breast cancer. She went into remission but was rediagnosed and passed away in December 2017.
“She was doing pretty well for a while, but in November of 2017, it finally caught up to her,” Sean said.
For the following baseball season, a banner was hung on the wall in right field at Scearce Field that read “Rose Strong #1,” Sean's number.
“When the baseball season started, we got the poster out there, not only for me but, for everybody else that knew her,” Sean said. “Before every at-bat, I looked out there to say a little something to her.”
Senior Night was an emotional game for Sean and his family. . . .
