Keith Edward Dodson

March 6, 1956 — August 18, 2019

Keith Edward Dodson, 63, went home to be with his wife, his mom and dad, and his two siblings who have gone before him.

Born March 6, 1956 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Keith was raised in South Austin, Texas, where he went to school, got married; Austin is the city where all of his children were born.

On Aug. 18, 2019, he passed away suddenly at home in Granite Shoals, where he had lived for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his sons and daughters children, Adam and Sarah Dodson; granddaughters, Ever and Ruby, and Wanda and Thomas Escobar; grandsons, Gavin and Jackson; Candice Dodson; Ryan Johnson; Kyle Dodson; Cynthia Dewy; granddaughter, Autumn Lockhart; grandsons, Ryan Dewy and Nathan Mezger; Dawn and Dustin Shugard; grandson, Kyle; and granddaughter, Katelyn; Michael and Misty Dawn Brooks and their family.

He was a beloved uncle to two nieces, seven nephews, and a grand-uncle to several more. He was a cousin, a friend, a neighbor and a brother in Christ to everyone. But “Pawpaw,” is the title he was most proud of. With many grandkids, all claiming to be his favorite, he loved each of them and us all, just the same, unconditionally.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at the Granite Shoals Community Center, 1208 North Phillips Ranch Road, Granite Shoals, Texas 78654 starting at 1 p.m.
