Marble Falls passes 2019-20 budget and tax rate

Marble Falls City Council members approved the 2019-20 budget and tax rate during the regular city council meeting on Sept. 17.

Total revenue is $13,949,226 – 4.78 percent higher than the previous year's budget. Total expenditures are $12,081,807 – a 5.32 percent increase over last year's budget.

Beginning fund balance is approximately $1.841 million.

Council members unanimously approved a tax rate of 61.00 cents per $100 property valuation, a half-cent lower than the current tax rate. . . .
