Laura McCarty

February 13, 1963 — September 27, 2019

Laura McCarty of Granite Shoals, age 56, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.

Laura is survived by her children, Dustin Hulling and Hailey McCarty; her husband, Brian McCarty; her parents, Marbeth and James “Bo” Casimir; sister, Denise Minton (Jeff); and niece, Lindsay Minton.

Laura was a passionately devoted mother, a dedicated wife, a gracious daughter, a loving sister, and a fiercely loyal and generous soul to all of her friends who she blessed with her warmth and kindness.

Laura was born on Feb. 13, 1963, in Corpus Christi, Texas. From a very young age, she charmed everyone around her with a lively sense of humor and playful spirit. She showed great artistic talent, which she pursued and developed throughout her entire adult life. Laura also developed a knack for helping others, and dedicated much of her free time to bringing joy to everyone around her. Due to her charitable nature, Laura always dreamed of being a mother.

Laura’s dream came true when she was blessed with her children, Dustin (25) and Hailey (16). She poured her entire heart and soul into raising them both to have outstanding character and goodwill. Laura married the love of her life, Brian McCarty, in Austin, Texas, on March 9, 2002, and committed all of herself to her family and the Lord. She was a devout Christian and was always working to better herself through the teachings of God.

She used the artistic expertise that God bestowed upon her to create special gifts for others that will be cherished forever.

Laura will be sorely missed and will live on dearly in the hearts of all those she touched. Her memorial will be held on Friday, October 4, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home at 1805 Highway 281 North, Marble Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. and service begins at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, loved ones are encouraged to contribute to McCarty Family’s GoFundMe page.

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your lovely face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.”
