David Almond

October 24, 1945 — September 2, 2019

My beloved David passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 2 leaving behind his wife, Liz; two daughters, Amanda and husband Kevin, and Juliette; their children, Chloe and Ethan, Morgan and Griffin; and David’s brother, Gordon, his wife Gail, and two sons, Christopher and Glenn.

David was borne in England on Oct. 24 1945. David was educated at Purley Grammar School and married on June 6, 1970 to Elizabeth Bisby.

David’s career was very successful and his vision, passion and dogged determination made a great impact on all those he met and worked with across all the regions of the world. David was a Chartered Accountant Articled in the City of London from 1962 – 1967; a partner in Alliotts (formerly Evans Peirson) 1969-1974; Chairman of Alliott Peirson Associates 1974-1989; Chairman of Alliott Group North America 2006-2012; Freeman of the City of London 1976; Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers of London 1977; 2002 Master of The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers of London.

Since moving to Spicewood in 2012, David has been an active and passionate member of Spicewood and Highland Lakes Lions Club, serving as President and Zone Chair.

The originally scheduled memorial service was postponed due to an urgent health issue within the family and has now been rescheduled to take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019 at Spicewood Community Center, 7901 County Road 404, Spicewood.
