Emma June Morgan

September 25, 1925 — October 22, 2019

Emma June Morgan, 94, of Burnet, Texas passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2019. Ms. Morgan was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Dallas, Texas to Alvin Edwin Morgan and Lucille Victoria McElroy Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Edwin Morgan and Lucille Victoria McElroy Morgan; brother, Joe Bob Morgan; sister-in-law, Doris Evelyn Marris Morgan; and niece, Victoria Sue Morgan Barho.

Ms. Morgan was a member of First Baptist Church of Burnet and the Fedelis Sunday School Class which she loved dearly. She enjoyed giving and receiving many many hugs, which made her feel loved and accepted in the special kind of life she lived. Emma June (June Bug) led the life of a dependable playmate for generations of children who were nieces, nephews, neighbors and acquaintances.

She is survived by her nephew, Mark David Morgan and wife Phyllis Anne Shook Morgan of Wolf City, Texas; nephew-in-law, Jimmy Leo Barho of Burnet, Texas; numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, Carrie Ann Morgan Hope of Sherman, Texas, Melissa Sue Morgan Pitzer and husband Kelley S. Pitzer of Sherman, Texas; Jacob Alexander Hope and Taylor Olivia Hope of Sherman, Texas; Bailey Ashlyn Pitzer, Mia Evelyn Pitzer and Lynlee Kate Pitzer of Sherman, Texas; Jimmy Leo Barho, Jr. and wife Corinne Dearinger Barho of Georgetown, Texas; Kathrine LaJan Barho Steffek and husband Darrell Ray Steffek of Burnet, Texas; Deborah Sue Barho Sampson and husband Timothy Dennis Sampson of Olympia, Washington; Jimmy Leo Barho III (TY) and wife Rebecca Hays Barho of Round Rock, Texas; Nickolas Ray Steffek and wife Audrey Koepp Steffek of Rosenberg, Texas; Derek Ray Steffek, and Hunter Ray Steffek of Marble Falls, Texas; Hannah Morgan Sampson of Olympia, Washington; Connor Lucas Barho, Layne Marie Barho, Eleanor Grace Barho, and Jacob Everett Barho of Round Rock, Texas; and numerous other relatives, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Burnet, P.O. Box 310, Burnet, Texas 78611, or your favorite charity.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Sparkman-Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas.

The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at the Oaks Nursing Center 507 West Jackson Street, Burnet, Texas 78611 where Ms. Morgan was a resident since 2005.
