Experienced Lady Mustangs team ready to run

The Lady Mustangs prepared for their season opener on Friday with a practice on Wednesday morning in Max Copeland Gym. This year's varsity team has seven seniors, two sophomores and three freshman.

Coming off a playoff berth as the fourth-seed last season, the Marble Falls Lady Mustangs basketball team is returning nine players and looking to move further into the postseason.

Among the returning players on this year's team are seven seniors resulting in one of the most experienced squads in the tenure of Head Coach John Berkman.

The team did, however, lose valuable inside height to graduation last year. Only one of the team's three primary bigs – Daijah Torns – returns this season, and it has forced the coaching staff to change the team's play style from the inside-out focus of last year.
